Monday Tallahassee Restaurant Review Link Madness

By William Kristoph

The restaurant and food blogging center of Tallahassee exploded over the last couple of weeks. I have a ton of good links to share with lots of good reviews of local food. Be sure to check them out.

Kristoph’s K-Time

Sweet Tea & Bourbon

  • The Cake Shop – What’s better than the main course? Dessert. Mike’s review agrees with me, that The Cake Shop is pretty awesome.
  • George & Louie’s – Mike’s review makes me think it’s worth a short trip up to Thomasville for some Greek food.

Two In Tally

  • Geraldine’s Originals – Little known restaurant with southern comfort food that had its Grand Opening on August 25.
  • Dog Et Al – One of my former favorites in town. I haven’t been in a long time. Abe’s review has me thinking I’ll give it another shot in the near future.
  • Sage – It’s on my list of places to try in Tallahassee. Two in Tally confirms that I should definitely make my way there.

Ermagerd, Mershed Perterders!

  • Bagelheads – Ermagerd loves it. I love it. Everyone loves Bagelheads. Now I’m hungry, great.

Tasty Tallahassee

What’s Cooking Tallahassee?

  • The Cuban Grill – Another view of The Cuban Grill, with some glitches in the ordering process. The good news is that Carlos is once again putting out good Cuban food. I’m excited to try it in the future.

I’m totally stealing this idea. :)

The Tally food blogging scene is blowing up! I hope it continues. It’s great to get other people’s points of view on familiar restaruants. I also love it when someone finds one I’ve never heard of (Geraldine’s wut?).

Hahaha, how dare you steal my totally original and definitely not stolen from elsewhere idea for link posts Mike. How dare you sir!

It’s nice to see more post for sure. I’m interested to see if everyone keeps it up. Blogging is such a marathon sometimes.

This isn’t an original idea? Shock! Horror!

Blogging is a marathon. A lot of the food blog that have started post a bunch in the beginning and then fade out. I think posting one or two a week is key. Gotta be consistent.

Very nice :) I’m very excited for all these food bloggers now! I hope that together we can get more people eating locally (and locally located)…and I say that quite selfishly, because it will get more good restaurants to open which means I get to eat more good food

For a long time I complained about Tally food, but over the last year or two I think the local stuff improved a lot. I’m with you, Tallahassee has the potential to be a great local food scene!

We really do. We’re in an area where produce can be grown almost year round. There are places popping up that raise organic beef/pork. I’m excited about what they future holds for our area!
