A&D Buffalo’s at Governor’s Square Mall Review

This was an unexpectedly good and tasty Cheeseburger and French Fries from A&D Buffalo’s at the Governor’s Square Mall in Tallahassee, FL.

My wife decided that brown bagging lunch was not an option the other day, so we made a break for Governor’s Square Mall for a quick bite to eat. Since I’ve been adventurous with trying new restaurants lately, I thought that I would give A&D Buffalo’s a shot. A&D Buffalo’s is the only game at the Mall for a burger and in all honesty, it was a satisfying and inexpensive lunch. Is it Monk’s? No, but much like Charley’s Grilled Subs, if you’re stuck at Governor’s Square then A&D Buffalo’s can satisfy your burger needs!
Cheeseburger And French Fries
The special of the day was a Cheeseburger and French Fries with all of the fixings. I upgraded my drink to a large and for under $8 I was ready to roll. The kitchen grill top, fryers and condiment station are all visible from the ordering counter and looked like the were very well kept. I always appreciate seeing my food made in front of me.
The burger was assembled and cooked fresh in front of me. They even toasted the bun, which, surprisingly, was a very tasty sesame seed variety. A&D Buffalo’s piled on the mustard, mayo, lettuce, onion, tomato and pickles with a thin, but large, 1/4 lb patty for a very satisfying, very all-american hamburger. The fries were dunked in the fryer for a second 1 minute finishing fry and tossed into the Styrofoam container along with my burger. Both items were hot and fresh and for $8, I was unexpectedly pleased.
I rated A&D Buffalo’s as “I like it” on Urbanspoon and think it’s worth a shot if you’re looking for a burger the next time you’re at Governor’s Square Mall.

That looks like a pretty solid burger!
I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. If you like thick burgers, it’s not for you unless you get a double. I’m fine thin or thick, so that didn’t bug me.
And the bun was just great. Normally that’s the most disappointing thing when I go out for a burger. Score one for unexpected pleasures.
Good to know! I bypassed that place last time I was at the mall and went to Charley’s instead because I hadn’t heard about it before. I’ll have to give it a shot next time – I’m a sucker for crinkle fries!
It’s worth the look. I’m very interested to see how Buca di Beppo works out in the old Ruby Tuesday location up by Sears.
