What Should Tallahassee Eat? – The Tomahawk Sports Bar & Grill

The Tomahawk Sports Bar & Grill Review (@TomahawkTally)

I’ll admit it, I wasn’t planning on making my first trip to The Tomahawk Sports Bar & Grill last week. I intended to go to Bird’s Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack, but the parking situation there at 11:45am was brutal. So, I headed off to Tomahawk with a friend where the parking was much better. The last time I was there was back in college when it was The Loop and Tallahassee dining options were far fewer than they are today.

Tomahawk is a welcome change from The Loop!

The Jammin Jamaican Burger with French Fries

I asked our waitress what I should try, and she suggested the Jammin Jamaican burger. The Jammin is a double patty burger with Pepper Jack cheese, jerk sauce and pineapple. It sounded interesting to me, so I went with her recommendation. It wasn’t long before this hot juicy burger made it to the booth:

Spicy and Sweet, I really enjoyed the Jammin Jamaican Burger at The Tomahawk Sports Bar and Grill.

The burger was definitely worth the $9 and Tomahawk seems like its well suited to any lunch day if you’re near campus or downtown Tallahassee. At night, it must be a great spot to catch a bunch of games on the numerous TVs. I’m glad that I ended up where I did for lunch. Good service + a good burger = a good review! I marked The Tomahawk Sports Bar and Grill as “I like it” on Urbanspoon and I’ll definitely be back in the future to try something else on the menu!
